Are Humans and Chimpanzees Really the Same Species Just Different Breeds?

Humans are a magnificent species, quite incredible as far as that goes, of course evolution has certainly had a lot of time to perfect an upright walking carbon bi-ped based design hasn't it. What about the other similar strategies, designs, or species? Well, there certainly isn't much difference between chimpanzees and humans, in fact, I often "people watch" and realize that human behavior is nearly identical at times - look at the US Congress for instance, no I am not digressing. Okay so, let's talk shall we?
Humans like to think (read: assume) that they are somehow more special than all the other animals in the animal kingdom - truth be told - humans are from that same kingdom - and although bigger brains and perhaps a better combination of organic sensors allowing them to be top of the mammalian food chain, the reality is, there isn't much difference really - some 1.5% in DNA from chimps and humans, and about half of that is due to humans inferior, yes inferior, since of smell.

There was an interesting article in Physorg Online News on September 2, 2013 titled; "Long-held assumption about emergence of new species questioned," and in this article was an interesting line; "A textbook example of the latter is the mule; horses and donkeys can mate, but their offspring are sterile."
Right, so like I don't want to be the one to attempt it, I am rather fond of human women, thank you very much, and I never was much into watching those Donkey shows in Tijuana, Mexico where a human woman would attempt to satisfy such a four-legged creature. Nevertheless, maybe we could get one of those performers to try it, and see what we come up with. "Oh, taboo" you say. Yes it is, but it would further prove that humans are or aren't very closely related with chimpanzees - at least enough to get a viable offspring. Now then, could such an offspring procreate?
Maybe, but we don't know, or those who've tried or successfully done it, clearly are not saying, but I dare to ask the question, and it is one that we need to know. Yes, we'd have to rewrite a text book or two, and the religious folks wouldn't believe it, they'd certainly cry foul over the who ordeal, but it would bring humanity closer to a better understanding of who they are, what they are made of, and where they came from because the whole superstitious religious theories are really pushing the reality of science, and it is unhealthy for such delusions in human societies. Please consider all this and think on it.
